Lemon Still Life

For this painting, we were given a picture to work from, which we would have to recreate I chose lemons for a bold and vibrant vibe. The textures were very detailed in the picture which I found quite challenging to achieve, especially the lettuce. For the lemons I used a bad quality white pencil to create tiny little dotted dents in the paper, to create the texture of the lemon skin. I then used a white pen to add highlights and some coloured pencils to add a little bit more depth and character.
