Pop out

This art work is a combine of black and white ballpoint pen and a bold coloured patterned for the background. The portrait is drawned entirely from tiny dots. The more crowded dots showing the darker shades and shadows, the more skattered the dots the brighter area. The bright, thick, bold pen contrasts with the black thin pen making the figure stand out, almost like it is popping out of the page. There is a lot of texture and different line work in this piece.
